The Women's Land Army (WLA) was a British civilian organisation created during the First and Second World Wars so women could work in agriculture, replacing men called up to the military. Women who worked for the WLA were commonly known as Land Girls.

The peg dolls are made using a solid piece of untreated beech wood. Dolls are painted using clay based paints and sealant that all conform to EN71-3 standards. 

Each individual peg is lovingly hand-painted and so there will be slight variations. Each set is totally unique!
