The evacuation of civilians, particularly children during WW2 was designed to protect people from the aerial bombings of cities. Many were moved to places thought to be less risk.

The peg dolls are made using a solid piece of untreated beech wood. Dolls are painted using clay based paints and sealant that all conform to EN71-3 standards.
Each individual peg is lovingly hand-painted and so there will be slight variations. Each set is totally unique!
